(Tsurumaru is quiet for a moment. This isn't the first time he's heard of someone dying on this adventures but it's always a cold surprise. Gently, he reaches to take both of Akira's hands in his own and lead him to a place to sit,)
Come. Sit. Let yourself rest a moment.
(And once they find a place to sit like some crates or something, he'll let Akira's hands go,)
It's—we wound up fighting a bunch of undead on top of this mountain, or at least that's what me and Rin wound up doing as we got separated. At first it was fun, I didn't even know ogres were real let alone think I could have the chance to fight one. But eventually the mountain got tired of fucking us up physically and decided to fuck us up mentally too.
There were a bunch of voices from people back home, and I know what that's like, but it still pissed me off. I-I don't really remember what happened past a certain point, just that I couldn't think of anything anymore other than wanting to kill, and kill, and kill.
[ He's staring at his hands. ]
I woke up in a pile of corpses and felt like something rammed me back into my body.
(He kneels in front of Akira and listens quietly. He doesn't speak, doesn't nod, but it's clear he's listening.
He reaches to cover Akira's hands, turning them over so he can hold them and runs his thumb across Akira's knuckles. It's a quiet gesture, one meant to be comforting,)
You don't remember?
(What happened between the desire to kill and waking up?)
...do I have a choice? We've been lucky so far, but that doesn't mean I can just stop helping. [ He reopens his eyes once he feels the look, stubborn and resolute. ]
I'm not gonna stay in my room by myself, that's been a stupid thing to do since the first murder. [ But he shrugs. He doesn't know yet! What if I told you his masterplan was to just wander until he found a place with people. ]

I think I lost control of my power back there too.

...no, but I have a guess.

It's over now. Welcome back, Akira-kun.

[ He closes his eyes and focuses on his breathing a little, and the touch on his fingers. ]
It doesn't matter, I gotta keep using my bloodmetry either way.

Your experiences matter, Akira-kun. Each one adds to you, sometimes heavier than the last. Be careful not to overburden yourself.

But there are times when you can take it easy. Like now. WHo are you staying with tonight, Akira-kun?

Make sure to stay with someone. They'll surely want to take care of you. Let them.

I don't need anyone to take care of me.

Nagako on the other hand, picks herself up and kind of does a little wiggle, tongue out. ]

Very well, then.
I would say to at least let yourself rest but... well, we don't have much choice tonight.

I'm not gonna be stupid. [ This time his look isn't withering, though it's still serious. ]
Don't you be stupid either.
no subject
Of course, of course. I'll be careful.

You better be. [ lol. ]
