I did. It would have worked out fine if you stuck to the plan.
[ THE PLAN THAT THEY ALL DECIDED IN 2 SECONDS. ]
I'm only aware of the sunken ship investigation earlier, the trip that you and your group went on, then the group that arrived on Friday. If there were more, then I wasn't informed or it wasn't made public.
(CLOSING HIS EYES. no, now isn't the time to lose his cool and he grumbles a bit more under his breath before calming himself.
He unfolds his arms! And from one sleeve he pulls out... a folded sheet of paper.)
I found this. (He offers it to him to read. The paper is old, yellow, with portions made unreadable from water and smudges.) I didn't know what to make of it at first and tried to find more... but then more things began to happen.
(Honestly it's because he figured the two lovers would talk so he might as well???)
I can speak to them myself then.
(Easily said. Whether or not he'll be able to see is another matter,)
Something transformed the people; twisted them into the creatures they saw and the one they brought back. (The fish head.) But you know, this note doesn't mention the spectres like the other notes we've found.
(Like the ones they found in the last city and the one he showed earlier this week.)
There are families that have been deified and enshrined back home. When a new family takes power, it's not uncommon for them to erase everything of the old one to establish their power.
(But there's one problem with this theory:)
I don't see any signs of a new hope here.
(The page Tsurumaru found and the fish zombies makes it sound like hope was lost instead.)

[ He looks up and sees that Tsurumaru is... Out of reach??? ]
Are you scared?
1/2
(He can forgive being grabbed by the neck but not being thrown, okay.)
no subject
Fine, fine.
(He still isn't getting close!!)
Hmm... it looks like the cities we end up in are full of clues waiting to be found.

[ Stupid. STupid bird. Niah's tail only flicks back and forth. ]
Yes... A great calamity happened here. We can look forward to another gathering to talk about our findings.
no subject
(He crosses his arms, tucking them into his sleeves and is quiet for a moment, thinking,)
A meeting would be good.
If things repeat, we don't have much time left here. There might not be much more left to find...
You're familiar with what the other groups have found?

… You’ve heard from the group that arrived on Friday?
no subject
Not everything but enough. (Only what he saw and heard on Friday!) I was going to speak to Dokja later.
no subject
[ Dokja is good choice maybe. ]
I gave the fish head to Rameel, so I cannot show you the proof.

It seems like something else.

[ Hmm. ]
The statues in the courtyard match the angels at the tower and opera house. However, the statues here are defaced.
no subject
These are spiritual symbols. To deface them means there's usually a certain reason...
(He's thinking of past instances he's familiar with and,)
Perhaps someone didn't want them to be worshipped anymore.
no subject
[ It’s a familiar tale. ]
But not usually so violently…

[ Which is think is stupid? But people are just that way. ]
… None whatsoever. It’s desolate here. At the bottom of the sea.

(They'd believed in thier bubble and techonology until it failed them. )
There wasn't even hope for death.

... A place with a beautiful garden would be nice, though.
