(There's a slight shift in posture. He straightens his back and lifts his chin just slightly, making sure to face Kaeya directly. He's as relaxed and confident as ever and all of it just gives him the image of a confident warrior, one that has surely done this many times before. He holds up one finger to show he's making his first point,)
Based on the patterns so far, these adventures we go on are surely related to the cities we visit in some way. First, there are adventures like mine. I don't believe they're connected to these cities directly. Instead, they are connected to someone among us. For what reason, I don't know, but after we complete whatever trial that has been set, we receive a small reward-- a clue that is somehow related to our situation.
From my group, we received a note that read, "These windows between our worlds, opened with greedy hands, have so foolishly been left open - and so we are all punished for that hubris, as the spectres take all that we are."
I believe Nero-kun, Diluc, Yelena, and Ulrika went on a similar adventure. Though I'm not familiar with the town they visited, the name is reminiscent of one from my country and not from these cities we've visited. The clue they received was, "This explosion would not only change the world we know, but the worlds we would never see."
(Next, he holds up two fingers,)
I believe the second type of adventure is more directly related to these cities. Last week, Kim Dokja, Alphinaud, Suigetsu, and Power went back to the past. They arrived on a boat. The people they encountered said the city had turned its back on God because they made weapons. They were being punished for not repenting. When they were thrown overboard, they woke up in a cave where they were attacked by undead fishmen. I believe these adventures are meant to help us understand our environments more-- to help us piece together the other clues we may find.
Before that, Yukio, Sholmes, Alphinaud, Ulrika, and Kim Kitsuragi visited the sunken ship. Besides the bodies they found, they found a tapestry that showed the city above water. Earlier that week, I found a letter that revealed the people of Krankaz were afflicted by some sort of disease or curse that changed them into what we learned were the fishmen who attacked the adventure group. Others also found clues-- idols and symbols like the ones in Cittagazze.
(He'll stop for just a moment here to give Kaeya some time to process. He then continues,)
I believe your group went on an adventure like Dokja, Alphinaud, Power, and Suigetsu. I'll report what I've learned leading up to your adventure:
(Again, two fingers,)
First, there is the clue from the first adventure. (He repeats it once more,) "This explosion would not only change the world we know, but the worlds we would never see."
(He curls one finger down,)
Second: Nanaly and I searched the canals and we found a stained glass that showed us the past. It showed Otamo before it was ruined. The buildings were tall and beautiful and the windows looked like rainbows. When we looked at it, we felt peace, wonder, and pride.
But then it changed. Fire fell from the sky and everything was destroyed. We watched the people flee into the underground and we felt their fear, anger, betrayal, and desperation.
The last thing we saw was the people writing on the walls before it was washed out with blood. "Clip their wings." "Liars." "Tyrants." "False idols."
(He lowers his hand,)
While there may be more information, this is all that I've found.
Your party returned injured but most surprising, you returned burned as if from fire.
I want to know if your adventure can make sense of the note or vision.
